for Organizing Your ArchiCAD Project.
The ArchiCAD Project Framework provides a documented structure
to be used mainly by new users of ArchiCAD, to guide them through the
design and documentation of a building.
The
emphasis of the Framework is on simple concepts and methods to organize
an ArchiCAD Project from the construction of the model to the production
of construction documents.
The document
is accompanied by Tip Sheets and ArchiCAD reference projects. Based on
his experience with the practical side of architecture, Bill Rattenbury
created this guide in cooperation with CADImage Solutions.
The ArchiCAD
Project Framework is published on a hybrid CD-ROM and a 124-page manual.
The GDL Cookbook is the only book that teaches 'Structured Programming in GDL', but it is so comprehensive that it can be used as a manual for GDL.
Following on from the book 'Object Making with ArchiCAD', the GDL Cookbook takes you from absolute beginner level into regions of GDL that only professionals could dare to enter, with every grade of challenge that lies between. The Cookbook contains some unique work, such as formulae for circle and parabola geometry, routines for tube drawing and location awareness; yet it is laced with a sense of humour and so many tips and tricks on using ArchiCAD that it is fun merely to browse for pleasure. The standards defined in the Cookbook for structured programming give an insight into the future of GDL if it is to become the world language of 3D.
The GDL Textbook is structured to move from the simplest forms towards more complex ones, and is closely linked to the standard documentation included with the ArchiCAD program package. Included are examples detailing applications for specific commands, as well as tips and tricks that will make it easier for you to create new objects, doors, windows or lamps based on previously designed ones.
